The County of Marin is currently accepting applicants to fill two vacancies on the Marin Human Rights Commission. There is one seat available for a representative of supervisorial District 1 (Terra Linda, Lucas Valley, Marinwood, Santa Venetia, San Rafael, Peacock Gap, Los Ranchitos, Country Club, Bayview).
The mission of the Human Rights Commission is to promote a community based on social justice, with equality for all, and to eliminate discrimination based on race, religion, color, age, ancestry, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, place of birth, national origin, or disability. The commission provides a public forum, serves as a resource to the community, and advises the Board of Supervisors on human rights issues.
